It was Carol’s birthday during the week, so we all headed off to Kimchi Grandma in Carnegie. My colleague Mairead writes a much better food review than I’m ever likely to – I’m not even going to try. I encourage you to have a look at her blog – http://filluponbread.blogspot.com/.
This is the second occasion we’ve been to this Korean restaurant now and the food is absolutely magnificent, and extremely reasonably priced. I really encourage you to check it out – it’s at 125 Koornang Road, Carnegie.
Oh, and Happy Birthday Carol.
Have been to that one – and there’s another KIM CHI GRANDMA in Box Hill as well. Also went to an amazing Korean restaurant in Glen Waverley.
“Korean” is one of the most ‘under-rated’ of the Asian cuisine sets – ‘Vietnamese’ is also big thumbs up over Chinese…
Yep. Completely agree with that. The smorgasbord lunch at the Korean on Freshwater always used to be great, but I think they’ve stopped it.
At Grandma’s, the barbequed pork was great and we had a spicy seafood soup that was magnificent.
